Published to coincide with the exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum, this volume documents and interprets Paik's key television projects. John G. Hanhardt surveys and discusses the distinctive contribution Paik has made to remaking video and television into an artist's medium. He pays particular attention to Global Groove (1973) through an in-depth analysis of this seminal videotape.
