SamenvattingHungarian Text. "1905-1945. Two years covering Jeno Bory's sculpture career. In 1905 he modeled his first known children's statue, Bandika, and one of his last works is the 1945 memorial to the Heroes of the White House Power Station. Initially, Rodin was influenced by his sculpture. His famous nudes are reminiscent of the French master's deeply emotional, impressionist works. However, between the two world wars the historical sensibility intensified, and the expectation of the era pointed in this direction, and Jen? Bory turned to more traditional, classicizing solutions. One after the other, his statues were created in the public domain, and his church orders resulted in some of his famous works in many churches in the country. The profession of building sculpture has only become noticeable nowadays: quite a few such monuments in Budapest belong to the genre. Many of them were destroyed by the siege of 45, but the more significant ones could be reconstructed from the plaster samples preserved in Bory Castle. A good example of this is the re-casting of the World War I Memorial to the Wounded Hero at the University of Technology. "
